We were commissioned to create a series of anatomically correct graphic sequences, specifically for bears, snakes and crocodiles. We gathered lots of research, including 3D scans from the Belgium Science Institute, of black bear skulls, to saltwater crocodile skeletons.
Once we had everything in place, we developed the look and feel, with a realistic gold texture and malleable material. This helped ground the models with simple camera moves and highlights to relate to what was being said in the voiceover and timed according the final edit of the series. In one particular instance, we created a venom gland for the rattlesnake animation, to show the flow throw the fangs.
