Playdead were commissioned in February 2019 by BBC Cyrmu Wales, to create a series of animated films for BBC Bitesize: KS3 Science / CA3 Gwyddoniaeth.
The delivery included 17 short-form videos to be delivered in Welsh and English. Using a combination of live-action filmed against green screen and combined with 2D motion graphics and set within bespoke 3D environments.
In addition to the 9 live action films, we created 8 separate animations that covered in depth subjects within KS3 Science. We used the UI design and animation style, to keep the films under the same umbrella.
