Our Managing Director, Pamela Nelson, spent last week at XDS in Vancouver, and it’s always a whirlwind of fun connecting with incredible people from across the games industry. But what makes XDS so special? Pam wrote us a Vancouver diary to share all:
“It was my second time at the event and Revenant’s 3rd time. As usual, it was wonderfully organised and effortlessly friendly – I’ll say it out loud, it can be a bit intimidating heading to networking events solo, but the Vancouver welcome was very typically lovely.
After such a transformative couple of years in the games industry I knew that it was likely that it would very much be about reconnecting and having many more speculative meetings. The whole ethos of XDS made this hugely possible and hugely enjoyable at the same time.
It makes very natural connections possible, as the mixers are warm and inclusive and welcome random conversations with fabulous people.
I particularly loved the Women @ XDS presented by West Studio event, the Collider Roof Top Mixer – I’ll also confess to being a little sore after all the dancing at the Thursday Night Party. Here’s to another great XDS!”
